Power, Voltage, and Dimensions: The Practical Details
This is a 380V infrared heating element, sized to match the footprint of standard SBO heater zones. Running at high voltage means you get the same power with less current. That translates to smaller wiring runs, less voltage drop over long lamp leads, and terminals that stay cooler. The geometry is set to match the original lamp length and focal distance, so the heat lands on the preform shoulder and body exactly the way the OEM intended. That keeps cycle times steady and prevents hot spots that can lead to thinning or stress marks.
Material & Design: What It’s Made Of—and Why It Matters
The tube is quartz, because it responds quickly and can handle the shock of machines cycling on and off without cracking under pressure. Inside, the coating is tuned for shortwave infrared output, so it penetrates PET fast and heats from the inside out. That means less surface scorching and a heating curve you can actually control. The connector is R7s—the industry-standard double-ended interface—so the lamp sits cleanly in existing ceramic holders. The contacts are built for real-world maintenance, and the design prevents arcing even when the lamp hits full temperature.
